in warm tones • Warsaw

The architects from Studio Monocco have a talent for designing apartments that are warm and friendly places to live. This is how I felt in this nearly 120 m² apartment located in Warsaw’s Mokotów district. Bevelled wood, mineral plaster matched to the shade of the stone, grooved tiles in a desert color – a light base and natural materials give the impression of wrapping up, and a family collection of art and ceramics (including an original lamp in the dining room) only complete this effect. I really wanted to emphasize the atmosphere of this apartment in the pictures and I think I have succeeded.

Architektki ze Studio Monocco mają talent do projektowania mieszkań, które są ciepłymi i przyjaznymi miejscami do życia. Tak właśnie czułam się w tym blisko studwudziestometrowym apartamencie zlokalizowanym na warszawskim Mokotowie. Fazowane drewno, tynk mineralny dopasowany do odcienia kamienia, ryflowane płytki w pustynnym kolorze – jasna baza i naturalne materiały dają wrażenie otulenia, a rodzinna kolekcja sztuki i ceramiki (w tym oryginalna lampa w jadalni) tylko dopełniają ten efekt. Bardzo chciałam uwydatnić klimat tego mieszkania na zdjęciach i myślę, że się to udało.
