When it comes to interior architecture, I am usually impressed most by simple but very clever solutions. The best example would be this office designed by Anna Białobrzewska from In Architekci studio. The apartment located at Targowa Street in Warsaw Praga district has undergone a total metamorphosis and is now the headquarter of the Polish company Bestpharma, which operates in the pharmaceutical sector.
What’s so special about this project? Well, the previous living and sleeping space of the apartment was turned into office rooms. However, instead of separating them with a normal brick wall, the architect created a design of a simple plywood bookcase, which on the one hand forms the border between the rooms, and on the other provides a place to store documents or display company’s indoor jungle (the CEO is a big plants enthusiast). The back wall of the shelves was made of corrugated plexiglass, as was the partition between the president’s office and the conference room, which, thanks to this solution, gained access to natural light.
