Ela Sawicka’s projects are always distinguished by impressive built-in furniture, custom-designed by the architect herself. It’s clearly visible in the case of this apartment, where the rounded kitchen island and cabinets reaching up to the ceiling are made of natural oak wood and decorated with vertical lamellas, creating an interesting 3D effect. This is the strongest accent in this space, because everything else, i.e. soft color palette (only warm wood and olive green), tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, terrazzo countertops and furniture selection, has been reduced to a minimum, both in in quantity and form. That’s how the architect successfully created an interior which makes for rest and regeneration – and these were exactly the expectations of the owners.
